The company has posted the animated chocolate cake doodle on the homepage, which will remain there throughout the day. The cake has 14 candles on it, and all are in Google colours - green, yellow, blue and red. As you open the homepage, the cake appears and in no time gets wrapped in the Google-coloured sheet lying underneath the cake. Interestingly, the selection of September 27 as Google's birthday seems to be a one of convenience than the actual date when the company was founded.
