DRDO              (DEFENCE RESEARCH  & DEVELOPEMENT ORGANISATION) SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF PRITHVI-II MISSILE 4th october 2012 - Thursday  Surface to Surface, Ballistic Missile Prithvi-II, with a range of 350 Kms, was successfully flight tested at 9.10 A.M, from Launch Complex at ITR (Integrated Test Range), Chandipur in Balasore district of Odisha. The Dhanush missile can be used as an anti-ship weapon as well as for destroying land targets depending on the range   The DRDO developed Prithvi-II Missile is already inducted into the Armed Forces. The Strategic Force Command (SFC) has launched the Missile as part of exercise. Google Birthday Today Celebrating the 14th Birthday on 27th september 2012                                                     Animated Chocolate Cake Doodle The brainy Google that answers almost all our queries has turned 14 years old today. To mark the 14th birthday of Google, the company has baked a chocolate cake doodle with "Google" inscribed on it. The company has posted the animated chocolate cake doodle on the homepage, which will remain there throughout the day. The cake has 14 candles on it, and all are in Google colours - green, yellow, blue and red. As you open the homepage, the cake appears and in no time gets wrapped in the Google-coloured sheet lying underneath the cake. Interestingly, the selection of September 27 as Google's birthday seems to be a one of convenience than the actual date when the company was founded.
